Why we are building this.
UK construction does not have a work problem. It has a people problem. More people leave the industry each year than join it, the ones who stay are getting older, and the pipeline behind them is thin. The work itself is not going anywhere: housing, infrastructure and retrofit are all forecast to grow for the rest of the decade.
Most of what gets someone from a first role to a director's chair has never been written down. It sits in the heads of people who are close to retiring. This site exists to capture it, hand it to the next generation for nothing, and make construction a career more people want to start and fewer want to leave.
