> I have run large schemes but I do not get shortlisted for director roles. Is it my CV? > > A question I am asked on most calls
Partly, but probably not in the way you think. At senior level the CV rules people out well and rules them in badly, because it reads as a list of employers and job titles. Hiring decisions should rest on evidence of what you have done, so give the reader that evidence: the scheme, its value, the problem, what you did, and what it finished at against the forecast.
The other half is getting in front of the decision maker before the sift, which is most of what a good search firm does. If you would like a second opinion on yours, book 15 minutes.
